i like the xD b/c it has a built in grip safety and features that help reduce recoil so u don't even know ur firing a .45.

 

that is with my .22 rifle at bout 4 football fields away.

 

i shot a shotgun once.... at a clay pidgeon....i missed

 

how in the world do u miss a clay target? lot of people won't shoot with me cause i pop them too fast. like as soon as they get above the horizon where the bullet could hit anything living i pop them. ha ha

At work today, one of my crazy gun collector friends was talking to me about a great home protection gun...the Taurus Model 4510 aka "Taurus Judge".

Too much to explain but Google it and you'll see how AMAZING this gun is! I'm thinking hard about getting me one in stainless steel...

An amazing handgun for self-defense. It's a revolver that will chamber 45 Long Colt or 410 gauge shot shells (the preferred self-defense round for this particular gun). It's actually Taurus' current interpretation of something called the Thunder 5 from a few years back. Since it's a revolver, it's easy to use, doesn't have to be cleaned & oiled as often as a semi-auto pistol, and can sit in a drawer fully loaded for years without worrying about the magazine spring getting soft. Unfortunately, due to the excessively harsh gun laws in NY and CA pertaining to the minimum length of a barrel of a gun that will shoot shotgun shells, it is not legal in NY or CA.
Pistol-grip 12 gauge with an 18" barrel that will shoot 3" magnum shells of 00 buck = legal... 410 gauge revolver = illegal.

I got addicted as soon as I shot my friends 40cal glock. Went out and bought 9mm a week later.

Also made the mistake of shooting without ear protection. I will never do that again.

what's so good bout that target is u see 6 holes but it is actually 10 if u look closely. I put 3 shots right behind each other and one a little to the left of one hole.


Joe, there is no such thing as a 9mm just for fun. If u want fun then get a .22 pistol or rifle. They are fun to fire and ammo is dirt cheap. like $12 for a box of 500. With 9mm it is more like 50-60 for a box of around 250 or 500.

 

Ok, then how much do those run? I just want to be able to go to the range ALONE when I'm bored. Everywhere uses the buddy system here.

 

you can get a .22 at walmart for like $99 lol.
