Yeah IDK unless u feel like(love) there is something about this girl besides all this then I would drop it like its hot because 6 years is a long time. You get to a point where all that is left is marriage. get single

I'm in the same situation but my the roles are reversed. My fiance gets very mad at me when I buy things for my car. He even threatened to leave me when I said I want to lower it.

Marriage is for suckers. Just because you are together for 6 years (or even 10) that does NOT mena you HAVE to get married, especially if you are a man. Men have nothing to gain and everything to lose by getting married.

just don't have any kids, and then it doesn't really matter if/when you decide to part ways

Hang in there Joe!

it boils down to this. can she accept you th way you are? if not, you need to call it quits. if she likes you the way you are, i'd say stick by her. the woman that likes to be with you, even though she knows your faults and accepts them, is rare.

wow man you seem like you have been hurt way to many times with a dumb comment like that. Marriage isnt for suckers if you find the right one and you could care less to be with anyone else explain to me why marriage is for suckers?
You dont think women have nothing to gain and everything to lose as well? Please if your in a mature relationship be happy get married have babies have fun. If you are with the right person your "marriage" can be the happiest times in your life.

anyways... it also sounds as if shes not accepting your fault like working on cars. If you 2 really cared for each other little stuff like car work wouldnt matter. I think you both should move on.

Well, my comment came out because "..all thats left to do but get married.."

Just because you have been together for a long time, that does NOT mean you HAVE to get married....thats all Im trying to say.

Of course marriage works (much less than half the time, but.....) if two people make it work. Marriage is not some la-la land where the trees are made from marshmallows and you live on candy-cane road....marriage is work. That is a big part of why it works out so infrequently...once the going gets tough, people tend to want and bail out instead of seeing things through and working on problems. Getting married because of some preconceived notion says you have to is just plain dumb.

Women too have plenty to lose as well...I didnt mean to imply otherwise.

Well, SEMA proved to be not a success as far as finding a special lady friend. It was a blast though in general.

LOL...I too share the same problem...Its all about compromise man. My girl biatches about the money I spend on my car. The solution!! Everytime I buy a new part I also buy her something. When I wanted my rims, I dropped $100 @ sephora for her. and she shut up! try it, but beware the tip of your nose might start to turn brown...

hey joe, glad SEMA was fun. I'm sorry to hear that it's not working out with ms. 6yrs.

I think Reese is right, though... If she really cared for you , car stuff wouldn't matter. it's part of who you are.

I'm like Amanda....my husband is very knowledgeable about cars but he thinks it's main function is to get from point A to point B...and I'm all about making it look "pretty" if you will

When we go to a parts store or a car show...hell, even driving down the road, I'm usually the one drooling at the cold air intakes and superchargers and the sweet rims on the car we just passed. However, when we purchased the tC, he seemed to be a little more open about customizing it. I guess we'll see what happens!

I WISH I was dating someone who took as much of an interest in his car as I do in mine. I want someone who will help me mod out my car!

actually, I would mostly like to be with someone, period, but the car thing would be nice too. Must also tolerate horses
