depends on where you go. Mine(the muppet on the previous page) was $150. Around here places were all roughly the same. $100/hour or so is a rough estimate most people started with. The good thing is, my current artist is a friend so things are cheaper now.

Depends on the artist, most artists will charge you $100 an hour (if they'er not ripping you off, that is)..some of the better ones are up to $150.00 to $200.00 an hour.

Just depends on the artist, and where they live. My guy is good, REAL good, he just won first place for best color piece at the long beach tattoo show, he could EASILY charge 150+ per hour for his work, but he just charges 100....just depends where you go, really.

It helps if you go to the same artist alot, they'll generally hook you up if you're a frequent customer. :-)

So it has nothing to do with color?
like black tatoo vs. colored tattos?
it's all about time consuming

Yup, unless the artist is just STRANGE, or trying to rip you off (some do, if they know you dont know how it works, they'll double or triple price you if they can, not all do, but ask for their hourly rate, ask how long the tattoo would take......or, just take somebody WITH you who's heavily tattooed and you'll be safe too. :-)

Dont be scared, not all artists do this, but some do...i've seen it happen..........shoot, MY first ones i got ripped off on, lol, (6 years ago)

ohhhh noooooo!

not me omg no way not me! I was asking out of curiosity!
I have vaso vagal reflex to needle phobia. I can't see another person getting blood drawn. Much less on me. Even less a LOT of needles in me.

I'd die on the spot.

No, its different, they'er not IN you and sitting there building up pressure, THAT I hate, they'er going in and out so quickly you cant see, and they just go to the 2nd layer of skin...its very different, i assure you.

Regarding Pakanas post
my tattoo artist has a saying
"Cheap Tattoos ain't Good.
Good Tattoos ain't cheap."

Very true

I'm the same way as you guys. I can't stand getting blood drawn or any type of shots like that. I had the hardest time explaining it to my doctor when he suggested a blood test like 3 years ago(cholesterol and all that general maintenance crap). I still haven't gone since I hate needles. My blood is mine and it shall stay in me unless I choose it to come out.
