Mitsubishi is one of the worst Jap companies for auto's right now. The Raider that they came out with is nothing but a Dakota so go figure

Isn't that the same with most engines?

ive seen the evo engines produce well over 1000hp with stock internals. now how long they lasted after that i dont know. this is a rally based engine now.

Oh yeah, and a car accident proves everything that you've been saying for years? You gonna say the same thing next time you see a wrecked STi?

Were I live, we got about 10 EVO 8 on the island since they were first introduced. The first one was a black one in which in 3 months was promptly wreck by some idiot; which of course is similar to the article that was posted.

EVO are nices cars. I had a mirage before I got my box and sometimes wished I had an EVO, but then again glad I didn't or I'll be payin some serious speeding tickets. Who could not resist an AWD + 275hp turbo next to an average kid who owns a civic with a big wing on his trunk at a stop light waitin to turn green

I'll say one positive thing for awd performance cars--they can be more of a year round ride up in the snow belt instead of a summer toy... but that may not be a big thing in warmer states...

plus i've had in the past the pleasure of beating some of the frat kids with their stang gt's and TA's with my demo gsx & vr4 i had....mine may not have been the fastest of the cars, but i've seen so many drivers with hi power rwd cars not know how to launch, and just sit there and spin the tires... while the awd bit and shot forward. Sometimes that type of technology can "make up" for driver error and lack of knowledge.
