Tommorow night...
I'm going to the track tomorrow night for my first time.
I've got a question. What is the best way to launch with stock tires? I know they will spin out no matter what but what is the best method with the stock tires?

go read the motortrend review of the tc listed in the archives.
they got their best launch by reving to 2500 rpms, dumping the clutch and feeding the throttle.
this is how they got a time of 0-60 in 7.4 seconds and a quarter mile time of 15.6 second.

yeah, you can do other stuff like lower the psi in your front tires, and increase the psi in your rear tires. memorize your shift points.
shift just before 6000 rpms.

Let us know how it went and what worked for ya. I've never took a wwd car to the track, so I'm pretty curious as to what works. Usually you run a few times, and towards the end you know what works. Obviously show up with like 1/8th tank of gas.
Well, just got back...I'm kind of disappointed....my best time all night was 16.2...I wheel bounce all through first launching at 2500RPM's, and then when i shift into 2nd i spin all through there then i finally get traction in third....everything i try i spin spin spin...my last run i tried feathering - that made my time worse....
