Is it possible to "unbid" on ebay if you're the only bidder? I just don't want the springs anymore and there's still 6 days left. Anyone know how?

 

Well... there's 6 days left...

If the seller doesn't like the price at which it is at now, he can do what it seems like EVERYONE's doing these days when they aren't going to get the price they want and make a fake account to bump the price so they can re-sell it again.

Otherwise if you win it, and don't pay, you can have your account suspended and/or your buyer rating will go to sh**.

 

Damn, I thought I was the only one clever enough to do such a thing.

 

But, there is no way to actually unbid? There is no reserve on the springs so whatever I put down will go. I have a 35$ bid (25$ shipping) but don't want them anymore. I want the Eibachs now......

 

nope, eBay's rules say that once you place a bid you create a contract between you and the seller. If you don't pay you'll recieve a strike, and three strikes against your account for not paying will cause the suspension of your account

 

Well, can the seller boot me off the bid? I know him...he's the admin to the site I am a Mod of. Maybe he can just kick me off the bidding or something?

B/c he's putting the parts that he's got on the Shop tab on the site online to get rid of them for more inventory. I just put a bid in b/c I wanted to get them but I've changed my mind.

 

Just create a fake account and bid higher and win. Then let the fake account get suspended.

 

hahaha dont get caught doing that, it's a serious offense im pretty there legal action involved with that

 

Well if the sellers are doing it...

 

contact seller, seller can cancel any bids anytime

 

Or you can cross your fingers and hope that someone outbids you.

 

If you email the seller he can cancel your bid by going through the bid history. I've had to do it before as a seller. It's up to him though to decide if he wants to cancel it.

still illegal, and its probably more serious because its a way to finagle more money
