Uploading from camera to hard drive **problems**
Ok…I have never had problems in the past using this method….any suggestions?
Running Windows professional
- I have a plug and play camera.
- I plug it into my tower and then turn the camera on. (I hear a beep and a prompt comes up saying "New USB device found"…or something real close to that)
- Camera display says "connecting to computer"
- Seconds later it displays "connected to computer"
- I go to My Computer and there is no icon for this plug in.
Any ideas how I can upload onto my computer?

is it a usb cord? if so, every once in a while, I have to disconnect the usb cable frmo my tower, wait a sec and then plug it in.
if you open windows explorer, and scroll down to right below your CD drive, does it not make a (E
or (F
drive right below it, (after it says it's connected to the camera?)

It's one of those things that happens with USB.
On this laptop I rarely have any problem plugging anything into the USB ports and having it instantly recognized and usable (once or twice in the past year?).
Just yesterday I plugged in my USB speakers and they were recognized as being there, but couldn't be selected or used. I just restarted the 'puter and everything was happy.
