i think the whole kanye vs. 50 battle was made just for this, so people would take sides and both of the cd's would sell like hot cakes, its all fake, just like half of, if not all of the lyrics on both of the artist's albums are.

i personally listen to music for its lyrics, not beats, if i listened to it for beats i would have to choose kanye, but as far as lyrics, they both suck, 50 cent being the lesser.

i recently picked up tupac's resurection cd, not his best, but still tops both of the albums released on tuesday.

unfortunately, there is no longer any "rap" on radio, its all hip hop, which is mostly crap, no real flavor or substance, just their for background noise, imho.

 

Whoa buddy...you've got that backwards. Rap is crap and Hip-Hop is where it's at. Check out Public Enemy's "Sex, Drugs & Violence", "Amerikan Gangster", and KRS-One's "Kill a Rapper". All three are very political, true-to-the-bone Hip-Hop.

 

Rap is something you do.....Hip-Hop is a way of life. Hip-Pop is mainstream.

immortal technique ftw! but i like kanye. hate 50. only like half of his 1st CD was good. specially those with eminem on it. he does need to stop whinning. plus, he doesnt claim to b a gangster, so whining is ok i guess haha.

 

Where is the neither option? Buy the new Metallica CD. So much more time and talent put into making it, than these commercial pop stars' albums.
