today on i-70, there was this mercedes s430 that was wandering into lanes left and right, almost hit somebody. i look as i pass him, the stupid old fat f#*% is talking on his damn cell phone.

 

call the police on 'em

I go hands free whenever I can...

Occasional text message or an email but only in traffic or the city...

 

I <3 the humor in this thread I see a lot of young women in expensive cars talking on the phone or texting while driving in heavy traffic.. Just because traffic is slow doesn't mean texting is any safer.

 

If your car doesn't have built-in bluetooth, then spend the stinkin' $30 and get a headset. There is no excuse to be driving around with a phone in your hand.

 

I can't hold a phone, shift, stear, break, clutch, gas.

Maybe I'm just not coordinated enough. But I can't do it without killing someone or probably wrecking my car.

 

lol well it will be a law soon here in cali, so hopefully that will cut it down a bit.....* hopefully*

I keep a cage of passenger pigeons in the back seat... for some reason though, when I toss em out of the car doing 80, they can't really keep up.

 

thats why god gave you knees..... (wow that totally sounds so bad lol) but hey! 2 knees on the wheel, one on the shifter and the other one handed texting!!! lol

 

My legs aren't long enough to be on the right bedals and the wheel Which is kinda stupid because I have really long legs, but the sparco seats I have sit uber low.

Ok, I'm back - yeah txt msging while driving is BAD. Cell phone convos while driving are bad. Eating while driving - bad. Changing your pants while driving - bad. Doing your homework while driving - bad.

A friend of mine I had been scolding for the past year for texting while driving totaled her civic two weeks ago, guess what she was doing ?

 

Yeah! Whip out your cell phone and call the police.

after you get their plate numbers pull over to the side of the road and call the police on 'em for reckless driving

 

just to let you guys know its not the exsistance of the cell phone, its the conversation you're having. bluetooth does help, but keep in mind it is still distracting.
