Default what can i do? got injured at parking garage

so today when i got out of class, i went to go pick up my car. the garage was really packed so i had to pick a compact spot to park in. i was so close to the pillar my side mirror would not let me walk by so i had to go behind the car (my car was backed in the spot) to get to my driver side. little did i know, there were nails sticking out of the wall and my pants got caught along with my leg. the nail gouged into my leg and my new jeans (like.. new new! took the price tag off this morning) were ripped. was wondering what i can do? am i able to do something about it if i dont at least get money to get a new pair of jeans? cause thats pretty much what im disappointed about... here are some pictures. im gonna be going to the transportation department thats in charge of the garages to see what i can do but i want to see what you guys think.

its my thigh.. it may look small.. but my thigh is pretty big lol...

there were a BUNCH of nails sticking out. i guess they used to have those reserved spot signs on there but they took the sign off and decided to keep the nail in there. notice the lighting of the last picture.

sorry, i dont think there's really anything you can do about it, but that is really crappy of the city. even though its so minor, talk to a lawyer maybe, only if you can do it for free though

Think positive.. The incident made your jeans look cooler.. Ripped jeans=more expensive.

Now they're 120 dollar express jeans Make sure to keep an eye on that cut.. You don't wanna catch Tetnus(sp?) from a rusty nail..

I study different kind of metals. That screw is electro-galvanized. It never rusts. So you got nothign to worry about.

it took quite a chunk of your meat tho. that scar is for sure forever haha

I'd let the city know (assuming it a city owned or run lot).

Call city and ask politely who you need to contact to report getting
injured on city property because of a hazard they left, and who to report
damage to personal property (jeans) so you can be compensated for
the cost.

Be polite but insistant.

Ow ow ow ow owwwwww that makes me cringe!!

They should be held accountable for those things sticking out there like that. Shoddy work and a hazard to a car (hey people are bad parkers) and possibly a person walking along the wall.

Oww
