Actually did you guys know that there are more females than males right now? So guys should have it easy picking a girl, girls on the other hand get the shaft for finding the "right" guy since he might be taken already. ;)

actually, according to the CIA world factbook, the populations of most countries are short on women. as for the USA:

0-14 years: 20.2% (male 31,152,050/female 29,777,43
15-64 years: 67.2% (male 100,995,752/female 101,365,035)
65 years and over: 12.6% (male 15,858,477/female 21,991,195) (2007 est.)

I would say that is really too close to call. it also doesn't take into account that some parts of the country have a decidedly different m/f ratio than straight 50/50. you also have to be aware of certain social dynamics... for instance I have observed since my own high school days that women tend to gravitate towards a particular 'model' male image - dont get me wrong, there are substantial exceptions... I am only observing that most women tend to value *as a group* certain male characteristics over others. guys who fall outside those criteria are simply less successful. i offer myself as an example of one of those lol.. my intellectual passions are severely out of phase with the south florida female population, so the overwhelming majority of women down here are repulsed whenever I come into a conversation. those few that *are* compatible are rapidly snatched up by other guys in the pool who share my circumstances but have more time to pursue (i work WAY too much too have a social life, so my problems are multifold lol).
