What's the Worst Thing that You've ran Over?
Good sized Chunk of Semi tire, on 81. 11 pm no lights, tore up my bottom grill/fogs, my bumper, broke the straps for the back bumper, took out the A/C, A/C condenser... insurance covered it, for 1000 dollars (deductible) >.<

^^ Lol.
OMG here's another. It wasn't my car but I was driving a bit behind a pretty big SUV. Almost like a Honda Pilot or something. But anyway. I'm driving a bit further back and its night but my HIDs are making the road like daylight haha. Then. I see this Dalmatian run out into the street (Sunrise highway Service
road for NY folks), in front of the Pilot. Somehow the dog ducks down bellow and manages to miss the front of the car but lifts his head up just a little too soon, and just gets completely 0w3n3d by the rear axle differential housing. It was Brutal. The SUV pulled over, not sure what happened after that, I kept going.

That happened to a Westie Terrier on Halloween a week after I got my tC. He went right in between the tires of a truck, but he managed not to get hit AT ALL. I slammed on my brakes, threw the car in park, jumped out & grabbed him. I looked for the owner but couldn't find em. I had him for 3 days & posted signs everywhere. I eventually found the owners.
A whole army of what looked like this little guy:

Were crossing the street as I was coming home turning a corner. There were about 7 of them in a row hurrying accross the street. I barely saw them as I was taking the turn and didnt have time to stop. I slammed on my breaks still. Stopped, got out of the car. One of them fell victim.
Little guy was flat as a pancake, almost like a cartoon though, his little wing was standing straight up in the air fluttering still. I felt bad for the 30 seconds it took me to walk back to my car. I forgot about it then was reminded as I was reading all these stories. Kind of sad when I think about.

I think I've hit a skunk before, not sure because it didn't smell and I was going too fast to see, but I DO remember something black and white with a lot of fur on the road.
i was going 80 on the highway at night and a raccoon ran into my path. he got caught in the wheel well as i ran over him about 3 or 4 times as he was wrapped around my tire. finally he sprung loose and i heard a clunk so i pulled to the side of the highway and saw the massacred raccoon with my fender liner laying next to him. lovely. i had to bend my front bumper a little bit cuz it was pulled out. grrrrrrr
Going 75mph on I-12 and medium sized dog crossed from left to right..... plenty of time to change lanes from right side to left except when the dog reached solid white line decided to do a 180 and cross back infront of me. Well, when he realized his error he just laid down and tucked his tail as I smacked him just shy of the front passenger fog light.....the damage was awful..... split front bumper cover from top to bottom, foglight gone and fluids leaking everywhere.... come to find out the windshield washer fluid reserve was completely smashed and A/C condenser/radiator and framework that holds both was bent.... had to repaint passenger fender and door due to buckled sheetmetal and replaced everything except aftermarket foglight?!!Hardest part to find was the lower spoiler (curved plastic air deflector under front bumper).
Dog took longer to decomp than repairs took!!! Honestly I tried not to hit the poor dog but he had a different idea....would have missed him by 3 car lengths if he would have kept going toward the woods..

Also, used to drive old `72 Mercury and had an old draw bridge,25mph speed limit, and one night this huge raccoon was walking in center of my lane. Going @ 10-12mph I figured he would move over but as I passed over him he began attacking the underside of my car and I could hear every scream, growl, bark, attack, scratch, bite and _____ing that creature made. I actually think he started running with the car cause it almost lasted the full length of the bridge. When he finally emerged from the rear bumper he was going in circles like he wanted to go another round, maybe his nose hit the exhaust?? Was funny as hell and scary too cause all the windows were wide open (no A/C).. next day I looked at under carriage and could actually see where the undercoating was all scratched off in little raccoon paw marks (stuff is as hard a asphalt).

I ran over a squirrel once... it was horrible I was driving along and it scurried out so I swerved and ALMOST missed him and I ended up hitting just his head, I didn't know what I'd hit so I stopped and saw it... flat head with a poofy body still. I didn't drive for like a week afterwards.
How about a 13 foot ladder, I was driving down 495 going about 65, about to take the exit for Tysons then all of a sudden there's a ladder taking up both exit lanes, I had no choice,
I had to hit it. But luckily my car wasn't lowered yet, so as far as i could tell there was no damage, it just made a hell of a noise and really ____ed me off.
