OK so its been bugging me that every time me and my girlfriend go out and take my car. That she gets really really mad that we park so far.
I tell her it's cause i'd rather not get hit and mess up my paint job..
NOw the question
Any of you guys have the same prob?
Am i going too far.. ie crossing the line?

 

i do the same thing after i got my car fixed last yr. my gf doesnt care about parking far though

Tell her to get over it.. Honestly, I doubt you park far enough that it takes like 30 minutes or something to walk to her destination.

 

yirichie.. your absolutely right. i park 1 floor up or like 100 steps away. its not that bad. I just had a doubt set in my head that maybe i was wrong to be doing so .I'm gonna tell her if she has a prob. then we'll take her ride...

there was one time I went to walmart 4 weeks after getting my car back from the body shop, and I parked really far away near noone and when I came back a shopping cart was laying on my driver door. it dented it..I was ____ed.

 

I laugh at people that park a mile away just to avoid door dings.. hell I park right next to them sometimes when they are parked way out away from everyone else Not trying to offend or anything.. but I think it is pretty ridiculous when someone goes that far out of their way.

I dont park next to people where the spot is cramped and I think a door ding is more probable.. but other than that I park with the rest of the world. While I like to keep my car nice, it is a car. May as well just leave it at home.. then it will never get damaged :D

 

well i park far away but i have it good i guess because my wife has a lifted 07 fj and she parks that dam thing farther away then i do

 

Tell her that a modded FJ should be covered in mud and already scratched up from the trails... not parked out so it doesnt get touched!

 

Just drop her off before you park. Then you can have that much more peace.

 

yeah i say that all the time but she does what she wants... o yeah for ur other post u are the type that parks right next to sombody i love it when someone does that to me i always have a socket set and some other tools with me i have gotton 6 cars so far i remove all there lug nutz and leave one loose and go park on the other side of the parking lot and watch the wheel come off funny as ____

 

i still park pretty far since i got my tC in June 2005. My GF doesnt mind, she's gotten used to it. now she does it in her new Camry. I dont park obviously at the end of the lot but at least 3-4 cars away from the last one. i have yet to get any door dings.

 

it used to ____ off my wife until she got her truck door dinged now she does the same thing, also helps against getting broken into cause the car is out there alone where everyone can see it

 

Its an effing parking lot.. hence people park next to you. I dont park too close, I dont mess with others cars (in other words, Im not an immature douche ;) ). And stop trying to sound clever and tough on the web by making up dumb crap you have done to peoples cars because they parked in the spot next to your precious $20,000 econobox

my gf loves it when i park far cuz shes athletic and loves the walk since we have more time to talk i guess -_-; plus shes a car lover like me which is why she parks her is250 2 miles away from her school from all the car keying/ding/scratching idiots at junior colleges >.<

 

well it has nothing to do with clever yes no ____ it is a parking lot but i no all the parking lots around me are f in huge so there is plenty of parking lot for me to be bymyself all the way in the back.. i do the samething when i am in my 1984 f150 now that thing is a beast haha... if somebody parks at the back of the lot for any reason..may they like to walk or just keep there car away from _______s. it could be in whatever for whatever and a _______ like u parks right next to them then who is the real immature douche me for ____ing up ur car or u for going out of ur way to be a _______ and i love my $20,000 terdcan, $500 truck, and my $35,000 fj so yes i work hard for them so they are precious to me.. now this is my last post on this thread so say what u wish about me or pm me if u want to resolve a problem but i will not thread jack no more this guy was just asking if he was in the wrong and wanted to no if anyone else did the same thing and u had to be the _______ to make a smart ___ coment.....

 

As long as it's a space within the parking lot, it's fair game. If it was too far, they wouldn't have painted a spot there to begin with!

 

HAHA I still park near noone even at school I'm so used to driving the tC which is garaged now but I always walk n everyone hates when I drive XD
