When parking too far crosses the line
And to the OP.. hopefully you can take a joke better than some of the little kids on here
Its up to you where you park... but if I were going to park way out of the way just to protect my car (which my wife may or may not be as interested in).. or even if the weather is nasty and I have to park way up.. I simply drop her off at the door and then go park. When we leave the store I go get the car and drive it up. That way you can park where ever you like and get credit for being a gentleman too ;)

^ Yeah i can take it. I'm a pretty leveled headed guy.. It's the internet for pete sake.. When i read make her walk cause she's fat... I couldnt help but laugh, for the sole reason that she is no where near even chubby...
And i park where i think its safest, Weather it be near a pole, a wall, so it brings down that odds that they'll only hit one side.. I've worked to hard on this car to just park it 2 inches away from anyones car, so they can just accidently hit my car.
anyway.. I just wanted to know if i was the only one..?

they will either kick ur car n leave a mark or key the ____ out of it for taking 2 good spaces.

I have to agree on the need to park normal. Bad attention is not a good thing
That'll get you a 10 mph shopping cart dent.
7 out of 10 cars out here where I live are POS's, the other 2.5 are just too new to be a door dinged dirt road abused POS's, then you have the .5 Me & my klan. And I got into it with the Bride yesterday because I almost parked across the street from the mall
We are the minority even among our own. Most people can give two you know what's about their car, so if you want to keep it nice you'll need to walk.
Ding free & proud of it lol!

A friend in college used to park his nissan pickup poorly... so his buddies picked the back up (ebrake on with truck in neutral) and wheeled it like a wheelbarrow around and set it over a large parking block :D
Given that unless your car is a trailer queen that never sees the blacktop, pebbles, gravel, trucks, accident debris, birds, etc - it's pretty much inevitable you're gonna get damage. Even if you're paranoid to the point of parking in the exact center of a giant empty parking lot, there's just no way to protect your stuff. I recommend you accept the cruel hand of fate and resign yourself to the certainty of your car, getting damaged at some point down the line.
Assuming you like your girlfriend and want her to stick around, just park wherever it's most convenient.

My tC is a daily driver and I park at the back of the lot at most stores, and at work. If I don't park at the back of the lot, it's usually by a curb, wall, or pole. I try to be on the end and avoid tight spaces. My gf jokingly makes fun of me every time we park. She says "Heaven forbid someone park next to your Ferrari" LOL. Oh well, she is cool enough to deal with it and understands where I'm coming from. Sometimes I drop her off at the door if it's cold or rainy out. Not like she is going to break up with me over a habit I've had for 8 years now. Not going to change.
My car has been keyed a few times and has a nice plethora of door dings on it. I usualy park as far out as possible; most of the time I park behind the store or try to find where the employees park.
