on the other hand, htere has to be a handful of engine mods avai;able from Japan. KK-Topline Makes stuff fpr the 2.5 used in vans and wagons in Japan. Could be worth a check if you guys want something more unique.

I believe it's simply the volume and availablity of parts for both cars. The xB has a huge number of body kits, many of which look great, even the stock setup! The tC doesn't have that luxury- I don't care for most body kits out there, heck, I can't even locate a spoiler that I really like.

Honestly though, it's not for lack of trying. There is just such a limited amount of mods out there for tCs as opposed to xBs.

In the frustration between Flakey and slow manufacturers, I'm pretty much stuck with trying to get custom crap made for my ride. And we all know how expensive/time-consuming that could be.

We tC owners are trying, we really are. Regardless though.... whoever said it was a competition? I thought we were all one community against THEM (Them being ricers of any creed, color or manufacturer)
I completely agree about the limited amount of mods... I owned a tC at one point, and was just dying from waiting for some luxury pieces to come out, which never happened... I kept seeing more and more CF wings and ugly hoods, tasteless body kits and CF dash stickers.. So I traded it off

theres more then 5 there. i also consider mine to be fairly nice, will be much nicer when i can decide on
a decent body kit and brakes. already have the stereo, speed and rims.

so there is a fair amount of nice tc's, even ones that arent on these web pages. upkeep on a car is a huge factor.

(i browsed the posts, so
i'm probably gonna duplicate
specific posts).

i think the main reason
why is beacuse the bB/xB
has been out longer. more time
equals more production of products.

i go to shows and view threads,
seems like every other tC has the same
mod. reason why i bought my xB
because i wanted my own different taste.

might not be the best, but
i try differ from those who have
the same mods as me.

That is what I am talking about. Completely different understanding of what is nice. I don't want to point fingers on anybody and say that I don't like their car but by quality and well done I mean no money spared, top of the range parts which perfectly flow with the body of a TC. There are around 10 of those here.

...I just went through it and I found 3 tC pictures out of 213 pictures.... One is the BCP bagged tC... A blue Kaminari tC, and a white tC with the "factory" body/lip kit and 19's.. And now, looking at the pics.. the only one that I believe is really "well done", to stay on topic ;), is the white one..
It is funny that I know what cars you are talking about and yes, they are pretty cool. There are more then those you have listed for sure though.

I understand that it takes a lot more skills to get TC done up right. There is a sea of classy parts for XBs from Japan and not many good looking ones for TC (us only parts). Every single part on the TC should be perfect for it to work; however, most owners take shortcuts (mostly financial reasons and inexperience in the field) here and there and at the end it adds up to another average car.

see thats part of the problem, its not entirely based on money. money makes it easier but the owners own creativity plays a huge part. so its not who has the biggest list of mods its how they flow together. you cant honestly say any of thsoe tcs i named are ugly or dont flow. i will agree that some stock tc's look better then some of the modded ones on here, but only when the cheap way out is apparent. take for instance, someone takes a stock tc and completely rewires under the hood and color matchs wires and wire loom, in turn i could see that being a nice setup for n/a even though theres no expensive header , head and all of the above. creativity, time, and appeal. those ones i named were just a few, there are many more. like i said, you dont need a book of mods, i dont have a book of mods and i think my car is pretty hot. unfortunately now im at a stopping point for 6 months until i return, but then i will start back up with a bang.. hopefully there will be more upgrades, (better taillights) so on so forth.

I think you have to have a couple of screws loose to buy an xb... meaning they probably don't give a crap about what others think of the car and often have more imagination then your tc owner...

The Xb's have been in japan longer yes.. more bodykits? yes...
Other guady parts that you would probably put on your car?
I am personally not a fan of Crazy camber... But otherwise I like VIP Styling... the Clean Mafia Look...

wheel fitment? Most of those wheels on Nice Xb's are custom...
You know how hard it is for me to find NICE wheels for the xa? I have to either order 10 sets of, or wait 60 - 120 days for them...

TC owners have nicer wheels readily available... HERE's A HINT: See 04 down BMW 3 series wheel fitment... I fit some "off the shelf" Mayas on a TC back in 05...

Wheels make or break a car... you can have the sickest car on SL... but with some crap for shoes... your car still won't be respected by the hardcore...

I believe Most Tc owners believe the more stuff you cram into a car the better...
I just think some of the guys with xb;s have been in the scene longer...

I have seen many peoples styles changed over the past 2 years with scions... Kind of ironic, it saddens me that these same people talk smack on what they used to do... I just shake my head, but at least they are educated now ;D

A TON OF CRAP ON CRAP IS STILL A TON OF CRAP

Friends don't let friends Rock APC...

well thats all opinions, i think there are alot of nice tC's on this board, and just because we like "boy racer" style doesnt mean we cant mod our cars rite.

i think that the "boy racer" styling is aite as long as you have your mods, i mean most tC's do engine mods because thats all that is out.. their arent to many kits that look good

Mpower-tryin to be something its not, we have a scion, not bmw
Excide- same thing, why be something your not?
Kaminari- its nice and all, but everyone and their mom has one
Raven- its ugly imho, the tC is round, this is boxy
Sensu- just plain ugly
Drifter- its aite, but the rear bumper is ugly, and the front has stupid vents
Combat-F&F style, need i say more?
AVS- please, a glue on kit... its nasty
Magic- its aite, but doesnt flow
Touring- looks stupid, doesnt flow well with the car
obsidian- wtf?
ait racing- if only it wasnt a wbk

these are my opinions, and imho i think my tC looks aite.. its not the best, but its not the worst, i try to do "tastefull" mods, some may not like it, but i like everything i have done..

Hehe... autostyling 101. Can't agree more.

Just looked at your audio setup. Pure sickness. Does it sound as good as it looks?

woo. what are you talking about? xb and the less well-known xa make what scion is today. the tc is nice but it looks just like another generic sport-inspired vehicle. it could be another celica, integra or even a mitsu eclipse...

dang it.. why hasnt Tim aka Wedrivescions chimed in...lol.... i had to double check some of the lists you all put out of "hot" tCs to make sure he was on there...

but yeah.. market for tC parts is still young and deloping...tho you get the peeps who walk thru auto-zone, shucks, pep-boys etc.. walk thru there "import" aisle and toss on everything they can from decals to glowing fuzy dice with matching wireloom....
or you get people like Tim... goes for the clean stealthy look.. with great flow..... and does 99.9% of it all himself.... i've heard of some of his plans....seen some of his sketches.... i think, for some1 not sponsored, he'll be at or near the top of the tC pile for quite awhile

havnt seen a photo of yours pete, as far as the others i think they are up and coming. i dont see anything wrong with munch's car at all, looks good to me. as far as kits the buddy club 2 kit isnt bad looking, not a huge change from stock, but a noticeable, yet appealing change. this is possibly the kit im going with, though im going to take the drive to test fitment prior to buying.

i think the xB inspires more creativity. its a more unique shape. you say its a bad thing that when you tell ppl you have a scion they automaticly think of the xB, i doubt the marketing ppl over at toyota are complaining.

the tC is a good looking car, i was considering it when i was car shopping. but its just to blah for me. it could easly blend into a parking lot. but the xB is as recognizable as any of the supersports cars out there, corvette, porsche, ferrari.

The xA and xB have had very nice support for a few years. The tC is an america only vehicle and these days the aftermarket body companies have no original thoughts and copy all the other ideas. The tC has unfortunately been shuffled into the Honda category. Now if people would be original there would be some really nice kits for the tC. I have a few sketches as well as others on this site that are very nice. They compliment the car instead of some ugly knockoff.
