I saw the wireless sensor bar at Best Buy yesterday....20 bucks.

 

You think that these are actually giving better accuracy to the Wii??

 

I don't know if they are better as far as accuracy, but it sure would be nice to NOT have that grey wire hanging all over the place. I may get one just to help clean up the wiring mess I have going on...and it would keep my cat from chewing on it...LOL.

 

Although I have other DVD players. I kind wish that my Wii could be used for DVD Playback. Kinda wierd that they left it out to drop the cost. Hopefully a update will come out enabling this feature. Anyone else know anything about a possible update???

 

What I heard was that they would release DVD capable Wiis towards the later part of 2007-early 2008 (not an update, but a new system to allow it). I'm with you though...I have probably 5-6 ways to play DVDs, but having a DVD capable Wii would allow me to put my PS2 n the bedroom or at least eliminate one of the players in the livingroom. Again, it isn't something I am going to complain about, but it would be convenient in my situation.

I am dissapointed that they are taking the Apple approach to marketing on their systems...Release one in only one color, then a few months down the road, release the same system in different colors. Apple did it with the iPod and Nintendo is doing it with the DS and now the Wii. I wish I had waited on both my iPod shuffles, 20 GB iPod, and both my DS lite systems....I'm sick of white!!! I have SO many toys now, but they all do the same thing!

 

The wireless bar won't make any difference when it comes to accuracy. The bar isn't a sensor, the wiimote is.
All the bar has is two lasers that the wiimote picks up and sends to the wii.

That's why a wireless sensor bar would work, it doesn't actually send any info to the wii.

 

It sux, i still can find a wii anywhere dang it. Ive been wanting to buy it and its still out of stock every single store i go to, some not even local, just all over so cal. Kinda makes me mad, but at the same time its good because if it does real well, then the download support and all that should be good. anyone having the same issues with stock?

 

I work in retail and I am usually in a Kmart or a Target daily.
I haven't seen a Wii in either since Christmas.

Just wondering how many Miis everyone has on there system?
Personally I've gone a little over board, I'm going to have to count them later. Creating them is like electronic crack!

 

The appeal of creating Miis has kinda tapered off for me as of late. I haven't checked my Wii messages in forever, either. hahah

Currently playing the copy of Super Paper Mario I uh...acquired. And I'm also playing Punch-Out!! on the VC.

 

How are you going about uh..."aquiring games". Do I need to mod my Wii or what please let me know.

 

I still have one Wii in the box that I haven't sold yet.
My kids love the Wii, and I'm not sure if I'll just hold onto it or sell it yet.
