Wireless / Networking guys, need some input...
ok, i need some help. searched online for some stuff...but im still lost...
I was familiar with wep wireless security. my router died, so i got a new one. i went with the wpa-psk security once I installed it. Everything is setup fine, but now my laptop wont connect to it. It detects there is a wireless connection, but says unable to connect. I believe my card (built in) is only detecting for wep, not the newer wpa-psk? My laptop is a compaq presario 2500 series.
Is this something I can download a driver for my laptop to recognize the wpa-psk? or would i need a new network card? (its internal, so would assume I could get one to plug in via the usb or the card slot?)
I mostly ask because i am getting a nintendo wii soon and wanted to use it with wifi...and it supports the newer wpa-psk...I'd rather use this since its newer and more secure...
Thanks for any input!

are you using windows to control your wifi on your laptop?? if you are, you might want to try and download T-Mobile Connection Manager and let that control your wifi. Could be your laptop's internal not liking your router. See if T-Mobile Connection Manager can pick it up
PROBLEM SOLVED
Hey...I went in and hit the update driver in the device manager, and it updated it for a driver for 2006, it was using one from 03. After that I tested it and it worked! Awesome! Thanks!
