Default work boots

i need some idea's on some good work boots...

on my second pair of redwing boots in two years...

when i wash and grease 'em about once a month or so

i was doing alright untill i reach month 5 or 6 on a pair of boots and when i wash 'em and let 'em air dry the leather gets this lovely smell mildew imbedded in 'em yeah it really stinks...

i still do like my red wings i've just have had bad luck cleaning 'em

so what are other good pairs of work boots out there...

they need to be water proof would like it to have steel toe as well...

ROCKY

$139.00 (since they are resolable they will last for a long time. Rocky makes a good product.)

also, try this site to look around.

Im in the military and would actually highly reccomend a set of our steel toes. I can get some exact model numbers if you tell me what features you want. I work heavy construction along with our normal military training and work. And they always hold up. If it wasnt for the fact that we have to shine them and keep them looking good, a pair could easily 2 years with no problems.

I have tons of Bates, Materhornes, and the such...

can't go wrong with rocky. here is their website instead of a distributer. they can get costly. click the "work" section.

Will these Rocky boots hold up to acid and lye? I need to find my partner some decent boots, the caterpillars wore out in less then 4 months.
