World Cup '06
the headbutt was awesome. and in Italian fashion, his legs threw up in the air, and he immediately started crying.
do you not think the Mazerati Ferrari Spaghetti guy didn't deserve it? For such a relaxed player like Zidane to do something like that, it must've been pretty negative.

it was great yesterday...my area is nothing but Italians pretty much(my family is straight off the boat)...Dad was driving the truck around with the flag on the hood
Wow...that is nuts. ^
I was going for France because I'm a long time lover of Henry and Zidane(yes I know, he's still one of the greatest soccer players in the world), but I was just glad to see a good game. Italy played well but really only had the ball on their offensive side from about the 10th through the 30th minute. Their corner kicks and free kicks were devastating. The one free kick they scored on was not offsides even though they said it was. The first PK was given because of the aggressive approach taken by the Italy defender-doesn't matter if got a lot of contact or just enough to bump his hip. This call could have gone either way. There was also another takedown in the box-can't remember what minute or the name of the French striker-that was more vicious than the first foul called for a PK that could have also been called for a PK. I believe the ref's choice on this one was more of a make-up call. Italy was tiring towards the end and didn't mount very many counter attacks. They didn't push well towards the end. Overall, I thought it was a great game and very entertaining. Congrats to the Italians and the Italian supporters.
France...well, maybe next time.

of course italians were tired!!! who wouldn't be?
and so were the french
with the exception of the non white french players
which guess what? comprises 3/4 if not more of the team
if we had african players in our team im sure we would have tired the frenchies

Trezeguet-Rouen, France
Henry-Paris, France
Wiltord-Neuilly-sur-Marne , France
Cisse-Arles, France
Saha-Paris, France
Makalele-Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo
Boumsong-Douala, Cameroon
Vieira-Dakar, Senegal
I'm sure it was a joke and all, but here you go. There are only three players on the squad that are from/born in Africa. All of them moved to France when they were young and claimed citizenship allowing them to play. Vieira didn't even play the whole game so there went your African theory.

im saying origins wise, u know? not nationality wise
color of the skin/stamina/body type/etc...
white ppl r on average much less resistant than african/americans & africans and that's not a theory that's a fact
and France itself complaind of having a team that did not "represent" their true nation - also not my theory - so there u go

Look at NBA numbers...Look at NFL numbers(except Offensive Linemen)...Look at soccer in any league...Kind of look at golf(at least a few years back-tiger and vijay)...Look at Track and Field...
Nothing new. I don't want to get into a race issue so I shall stop.
