Default wow.

so i'm sitting here at work and this lady calls in.

she asks me... in the 06 rav4. there was a option for the extra seats in the far back right.

i said, yes.

she then asks how much is it to get it installed?

they're built like that mam.

we both laugh.

Did you tell her to tie a rope around her neck connected to a tree and dirve off? =D

I tell that to people at my work... The "special" people.

Yes you can, why do you think they aren't immediatly exterminated after the completely and utterly downsyndrome-like call they made...

The third row in a Rav is just plain silly. In fact, same thing goes for the third row in anything smaller than a full size SUV. You have to have no respect for child's life to put them back there, and as an adult, you can't have any legs and fit for more than 5 min without cramping.

It's all marketing. The message is: "you don't have to throw your youth away just because you spat out 4 kids before your 25th birthday! Don't buy that old lady soccer mom minivan that gets great milage, is safe, reliable, and will fit everyone comfortably Just come and look at this great SUV that you can cram everyone in, spend a fortune on gas, and still pretend to be young and vivacious as you're carting the screaming rugrats to Chuck E. Cheese's! Who knows, one of these days you may buy that big boat and have to take everyone up into the mountains (even tho you live in Houston) on a vacation once every 4 years! "

Have you ever seen a rear ended XB?? There's not much to protect the rear passengers. I hardly ever put my kids in mine. They get to ride in my wife's Altima.

But yet, they cost more, and don't hold as much, and yes, their 3rd row is a useless marketing death trap as well.

You haven't driven an Limited Sienna then. That thing is flat out amazing. It's like a Lexus or a tall limo, and I'm not at all overstating that.

couple of things:

- Rav is not a mid size SUV, a Highlander is, and a V6 Highlander starts at 28. A Sienna LE is 28, and holds more folks, gets better milage, and is 10 times more comfortable.

-A highlander with 3rd row is dumb idea as stated before. if you need 7 passenger carrying capabilities then your best options are Large SUV or Minvan. Key here being 7 passenger capabilities.

- A Rav is not a mid-size SUV, it's a small SUV. Folks in the market for a Rav are rarely cross shopping with a Sienna.

- As stated previously, if you need 7 passenger capabilities, and you're looking at a Rav with 3rd row, then in my opinion, you need a CT scan.

If you don't need the capability to haul 7 passengers, then I don't know why you'd be looking at either a minivan or a small/mid size SUV with a 3rd row that takes up valuble boombox space.

lol. boombox space.

the new rav four is almost the size of a highlander.

the highlander is horrendous looking but even if i needed 7 passenger i'd take it over the sienna any day of the week.

and what's really weird is i see people with two or three kids getting minivans left and right and i'm dumbfounded as to why.

just cram em in a 5 passenger car and you're good to go.

and even considering gas mileage i'd take a 4runner , highlander , or rav 4 over the sienna ANY day of the week. but apparently i'm retarded.
