do you like opie and anthony or howard stern... mlb baseball or nfl football... Sirus music channels are a little better, but XM has MUCH better technology... I picked XM, but I am a Mets and O&A fan... your call

Yea, i'm not into opie and anthony nor howard stern. Does that make me want to choose XM?

Any other differences?

It seems that XM does a nice job with sports and that Sirius does a nice job with variety and comedy shows...is this accurate? I really just want a large variety in music!

Actually that does not show anything but xm had better programming and an add campaign when it was introduced I have used and owned both xm and sirius. Like I said, I own two sirius sportsters now. Love them and the programming!

My 2 cents, go Sirius, howard stern is there, not because of money but primarily because clear channel and other radio monopolies that own xm, are pro censorship of the air waves.

So to truly keep free air I support sirius.

OH COME ON!!! can a guy be an a$$ every so often? if I was really MAKING that point, you would have to also say that XM started a year earlier and that XM is an option in more cars right off the lot...

I WILL SAY this... SIRIUS has a lot more die hard supporters... XM fans are more casual fans of the service

lets not forget that the majority of the fleets at alamo/enterpirse/national car rentals use xm... and every gm car out there comes equiped with it... so in some cases there is no choice in the matter

I just got my Sirius based on what you guys have been saying. The only problem I'm having and I'm not sure if it it's a faulty antenna (I'm going back to the store tomorrow), the reception is HORRIBLE. I can't even get through one song w/o it trying to acquire a signal-and this is on the open road! Anyone else have this problem or is this truly just a faulty antenna?

actually new sirius subscription is outpacing xm by almost 3 to 1, and sirius had 2 mil before stern came aboard. they are now nearly at 5 mil and are projected to be over 6 mil by year's end. by 2010, they are projected to be at 15 mil.

beside having stern (who has never been funnier since not having to bow to fcc rules), sirius has NFL which allows me to listen to every game nationwide (a lions fan in CA )
after listening to satellite radio since november, i could never listen to terrestrial radio again. in fact, i haven't since installing the sirius.

I used to have XM and I wasn't too impressed, I ended up getting rid of it but if I had the money I would definitely go with Sirius... I love Howard.

amen to that

but the real numbers as of june 2nd 2006 is XM 8.5 million subscribers by year end, and Sirius expects 6.2 million by the END of this year

http://money.cnn.com/2006/06/02/tech...atelliteradio/

stern has made a hugh subscriber base for sirius, no doubt about it... but i think that is gonna slow down after this year. my point, i do not see sirius taking over xm until about 2010, and that is PENDING that they get some better unit (not the size of bricks, and giving its users the option to listen to live broadcast in portable form)

i do not want to get into a fight with the sirius boys so we CAN agree that regular radio stinks... and maybe since i am a jets fan i do not WANT to listen to my team play this year ... just to ease the pain to come... all i can say is this BRADY QUINN jets #1 draft pick in 07! hahahahaha!

Where do you have your antenna installed? That has A LOT to do with your reception. Until somebody decides to make and sell the interior satellite antenna (like in the RS2.0 tC), you will get much better reception by putting it on the outside of your tC. Mine is located by the regular (although I have a S2K) antenna spot. It may not look pretty there, but it works great!

I chose Sirius over XM because of the 'more youthful' line-up Sirius has. Also, the sports line-up on Sirius (NFL, NBA) compared to XM (MLB, NHL) is way better IMHO. I can listen to my STEELERS kick major **** even though I'm in Cali! (Hyghgynx waves his "Terrible Towel" feverishly!) Get XM if you want to listen to Oprah and the PGA Golf (like I want to hear golf 24-7!) channels!
