i shot an AR15 yesterday and an oozy! but that ar15 has no kick back at all i love it..the oozy is fun too!
what do yall think guys, get rid of the Nikon D40 and ****** up a Canon XSi? Im thinking about it but IDK if i want to spend $700 when i purchased my D40 practally brand spanking new (slightly used) for $350? Nothing wrong with the D40, i guess because its new and i want it? More focus points are a plus?
Tell me why i shouldnt get it and keep the D40?

IDK, just a thought. You know how you get those dumb idea's in your head and they wait for someone to tell you not to do it. well, thanks to you 2 ill keep the D40 for a good while.
I might ****** up the 50mm f/1.8 sometime soon. Got a small bonus at work for helping board up windows and getting sand bags for Hurricane Ike when we didnt even get a drop of rain from it. So i have more than enough for the lense, Hoya filter and take the GF out to eat! Hopefully by next month i make the purchase.

i've never really used a prime lens other than my fisheye. not really big on having to move just to recompose the shot. But most prime lenses are cheaper and faster. depending on what equipment u have u could always try and get a tripod, flash, slave flash, new lens like a fisheye, extra battery, bigger memory card, etc etc
well, i have a decent samsonite tripod, a SanDisk Extreme III 2GB SD card, a Hoya UV and a Hoya linear polarizing filter and a nice bag. I think ill get a decent flash sometime by the end of the year?
yeah i want a flash sooo bad. my 5d doesn't even have a built in flash. kinda sucks but an on board flash is so crappy anyways that i would rather just get a regular hot shoe flash.
All the pics you guys took look professional! Does the camera really make that big of a difference compared to a regular point-and-shoot camera? I know it depends on the photographer, but you guys make it look so easy with your DSLRs.
