look at the time of day he's shooting at? i wouldn't expect the sky or the mountains to look any different....

 

decided to fix another sky shot I had.

the pic was taken froma moving vehicle so...

 

damn u guys and ur scenery. All the clouds we get are the big FAT puffy ones with no character and we definitely don't have any landscape. Just a crappy old worn down city of crappy buildings.

 

exposure looks good, but the horizon is SLIGHTLY crooked which kind of throws me off....rotate and crop just a tad

I liked the freeze frame water in the pic.
I was surprised It came out clear at such a low shutter speed, for a panning shot at 300mm. Image stabilization FTW!

 

I want a good long lens soooo bad.

 

exposure looks good, colors look good, but compositionally its lacking

 

yeah seems a little centered to me? just my opinion. but i ain't that good at photography either. ha ha

But me personally I just like the photo I like the texture and reflections on the seal and the frozen water. hah

 

the photo is right weighted, seal enters from the right, 1/3rd of the left side of the photo is empty. 2/3rds are filled.

roughly 2/3rds of the bottom half of the photo are filled roughly 1/3rd of the top of the photo is empty.

Compositionally I just wish there were more things going on in the background where the emptiness is to make it more interestin or if I couldve zoomed in more to fill more of the frame.

 

what's your main lens that you're using?
Instead of the ef 70-300 I wish I wouldve gone with the 70-200L

good glass > than IS between these two lenses imo(both in the same price). Ah well.

 

Only lenses I have are my main lens: Canon 24-105mm f4 L lens and my fun lens: Canon 15mm f2.8 fisheye lens.

 

dont get me wrong...the texture and sharpness are great....composition just needs some work
