Post some damn pictures! I admire anyone's shots because they are far better than mine.

 

this is of me racing on an arcade. I didn't really set any settings. just set the aperture and shutter for what i metered earlier and clicked the self timer. I know it is underexposed and the white balance is off. it was more of a snapshot.

OK just something I wanna point out. If everybody knows Don is blunt bout his criticism then why does everybody get all shocked when he says something directly and not beat around the bush with it? I can see Tina's point of maybe feeling picked on but I think his comment bout ur last photo wasn't that bad actually. He simply said ur white balance was slightly off. Not like he called u an idiot and told it was way off and all that. He simply said SLIGHTLY. meaning u almost got it right. For Don that is a step up. ha ha U can definitely tell he has been holding his comments back and not posting what he actually wants to post. He is trying to not sugarcoat any comment but not seem like a complete butthole at the same time. It's a very fine line. Most people aren't used to being criticized and don't know how to take it. If his comments bother u then IGNORE them. U should EXPECT it from him by now. I know Don as more than a photographer and we talk online all the time. he is really cool once u get to know him and has an abundance of knowledge. U just gotta learn to listen to him and take what he says lightly and not personally. He is actually trying to help u, not hurt ur feelings.

Elijah, the fact that he pointed out that the color of my tC wasn't true to life irked me (he's only seen my tC the way it is like once or twice tops, anyway). But it just showed me that he sees things differently than others in the thread & the colors he sees are completely different than what I/others post. That's all.

 

oh ok. Well a calibrated monitor makes a WORLD of difference. I am looking to try and calibrate mine as soon as I can get some money saved. (gonna be forever) ha ha

I wish I had my camera with me right now. One of the guys has his daughters' dog in the office, and it's possibly the greatest dog ever. He's an English Border Collie, only 12 weeks old.

 

I love Border Collies. They're my favorite dogs, ever. I used to work at Petsmart when I was 16 & one of the regulars that would always come in was named Oliver, he was AWESOME. Then they got him a puppy friend & named him Tweak cuz he was so hyper.

FF (fun fact): Border Collies are one of the top 5 smartest dogs.

 

FF (fun fact): Rottweilers have the strongest bite, and Don is the ugliest breed of dog. ha ha

 

This one is so calm. He runs up to you without hesitation and just rubs against you and lets you pet him. He's only 12 weeks old and they just let him outside in the front of the office and he doesn't try to run away or run at other people. I want to bring him home with me .
