DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
anyone here use the st-e2?
Im considering it as an off camera solution for flash photography, Id like to know how reliable it is.
I must say I love lighting, I got to play with fill and cross in a photo shoot I did the other day with a model and I must say the results of good artificial lighting sets the photo apart from the rest.
I was blown away by how much one's work is improved with proper lighting techniques.
Much respect to Alas as I see he has a good understand of artificial lighting in his photos.
I actually want to get into fashion modeling photographs, I think this is what interests me the most since it's so reliant on flash photography and techniques.
strobing ftw! seriously its a whole new world opened up in this hobby, so many ways to create dynamic photos.

if you're gonna shoot fashion and that kinda stuff, forget getting flashes and get strobes....
as far as the ST-E2, it works well, but you have to have the sensors on the flash pointing at the ST-E2 or sometimes your flash won't fire.

:/
but from what Ive been seeing online from photographers are that a lot of them do fairly well with just using flash gun set ups.
this would be very appealing to me due to portability aspect.

i wouldn't go with anything but Lowepro. I LOVE and TRUST their products.
I don't exactly lay my equipment down anyways. So if someone wants to steal my bag with equipment they are gonna have to pry it off my back and that is a lot easier said than done. ha ha
