I shot it with the 85mm 1.8 and figured i'd put a little of the background in the shot since its one of the ONLY animals there that u didnt have to look through some special glass or fencing lol

I have the 18-200mm VR and the 70-200 but i never get another SOLID time with the 85 so i just shot with that.

Its a great lens

You'll do fine with whatever u shoot with.

I hate fences in zoo's but this one added to the "sadness in the eyes"

Zoo's make me sad, honestly its depressing if my gf and her friends didnt wanna go i wouldn't have

70-200 = more for wedding photography

the 18-200 is like if family wants me to come to a babys birthday or something

how fast is ur shutter? if the image appears too bright, try speeding up ur shutter speed to 1/800th of a second start from there... thats my baseline when i shoot outdoors, next thing you need to check is ur white balance. you most likely just need to have it set to direct sunlight in order to eliminate the yellow hue...

check those first and see what happens

OK, I'll agree with you. I'll be nice and not post the shots I was thinking of earlier. However, since you posted in the off topic section, I'll post a couple of you in here also. I even put a cute pink border just for you. See how nice I am?

With Flash:

Without flash (Because like an idiot, earlier I dropped my body, 24-70, and 580ex and snapped the neck off the flash and damaged one of the rings on the lens.):

Don't quote me, but you can probably see them in the Pac South section. Bout page 9 or 10. Last post was November 21st 2008. The title of the thread is "Scion SEMA Party Highlights". But I'm not sure. I don't have the time to go there to look for it. If you find it, whatever you do, DO NOT bump it. Tina may get mad.
