May I suggest reading the manual.

and i do typically start at 100 ISO... i just find it easier to start off with a baseline shutter speed of about 1/800th when shooting outdoors... just a habit i guess... dunno if its a bad habit but i'm ok with it for now

But, what's the correct exposure? That's for you to decide. What are you aiming for with the shot? Do you want to intentionally underexpose or overexpose for a certain effect? You decide..
