ive had the Nikon D40 and switched to the XSi, lovin it so far!

 

They both feel well in grip. Maybe the Nikon a little better. However I don't want to like the Nikon as funny as it sounds. I had a great canon point and shoot and that started me loving the Canon brand.

It appears that the L-series lenses of Canons are superior to Nikons which is a factor to consider as well.

Decisions decisions.....

 

Canon definitely has better glass. Also Nikon is bad bout putting options in the menu instead of making a simple button for it like Canon does.

 

I tried out the XSI in the store. Didn't like it too much. So I went Nikon and will probably always shoot with Nikon. But in all reality, it's really up to which one you're more comfortable with. As far as who has better glass, the differences in image quality are so minute that you'd have to get on a scientific level to really compare. Some lenses Nikon makes better, some lenses Canon makes better. But the companies are so competitive that you'll probably never get the chance to say one is better than the other.

 

Found a really cool site. Showed it to Tina yesterday.

He takes amazing images and shows how they were setup and how they were processed and everything. Its mostly for flash photography tho.

Snow, love the shot and I agree it would be kinda cool to experiment with for tilt/shift focus.

RnB that middle car on the right is owned by a complete HOMO! ha ha And is that "NOISE" that i see in one of ur photos? Im impressed. ha ha

 

yea it's artificial noise, usually I add that to BW photos.

 

ah ok. I was just glad u finally accepted that "grain" is AWESOME under certain circumstances.
