Just got a 180mm Macro yesterday and I went for a walk in the park. Found me a moth! The DOF is touchy with this thing and will take some getting used to, but even with that flaw in the pic I'm pretty happy with it. The lens is tack sharp when the operator isn't a retard

 

yeah once u get down to MACRO the slightest MM of movement is like fully twisting a normal lens focus ring. ha ha

 

Yeah, I actually find this lens harder to use than the MP-E I had. I didn't really ever have a problem with the MP-E for some reason, but this thing gets TOUCHY! I do miss my MP-E, but its way too impractical.

 

i want the MP-E big time. Just for a fun lens. I'm not making money off my photography any time soon. ha ha

 

exactly! That's why I got it. I think bugs close up is crazy looking! I think I've alread posted these, but since we're on bugs, let's revisit and force you to get an MP-E! haha

Yeah I can't wait! I thought about the D90 but for me I wish they'd use the technology and resources they put into HD video for even better image sensors and other features instead. Not to mention the metal body of the Dx00 series is also a selling point.

I doubt it'll be here by then. I don't want to buy it locally because of the inflated prices and taxes. =\ I'm playing everything by ear at the moment, I'm not even sure what day I'm coming lol.
