Check the photgraphyonthenet sell thread. There have been on a few on there for cheap.

Thanks for the good words of mine, starting to learn to use my new T1i effectively. Ordered my 18-55mm EF-S today so I will have a better walkabout lens than my nifty fifty and hopefully get more shots!

well i got a call and an email from B&H the d40 i orderes that was 375$ that jon posted up before was sold literally a few minutes prior to me ordering it so they refunded my girl her money. but it still looks like ill be looking for a Nikon d40

y not look at a Canon XS or XSI? At least then it would have autofocus built in the body, be a bit bigger to have more to hold onto and to me personally the controls are laid out better than on a D40.

I actually tried one out the other day and the layout made absolutely no sense at all.
