DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
anybody from Savannah, Georgia in the house? I was just there for 2 weeks and will be headed back July 5th for another month. Staying by the "bridge that takes you to south carolina", Id really have to check where we actually was. Looking for some good places to shoot besides river street.
see that's my problem with photography today. everybody is so ready to clone stuff out. so ur telling me we should erase the world around us? y not instead just take one or two steps to the left or right and try to get a better composition that doesn't require "oh i'll fix it in post"?
Because the pic is already taken. If he could go back and do it again then of course he could move the camera or move the barrel. I'm all for unaltered scenes but the reason I suggested it is because it's being illuminated by the flash. Otherwise I'd say take out the power lines and poles too.
i mean i see what ur saying. I just get bugged by the amount of processing work "pro" photographers are putting into their shots. To me if ur spending more than a little bit of time on a shot then u need to reshoot it, unless ur adding an effect that u can't get outta camera. Example being lomo, vintage, b/w conversion, etc. I mean I see these photographers that are building composites and to me that is failing as a photographer. Get it right in camera or don't shoot it.
I've never shot something and said "oh i can just fix that in photoshop" If i look through my viewfinder and something isn't where i want it I either move it or find a better composition.

Jon, I had the driver pull into that area away from the parking lot but the entire area was surrounded by those barrels, as it was a drift event. I am not big on cloning out things.
