Went to a Car show in MA and decided to do a little practice with some of the cars there. Lemme know what you guys think.



This picture kind of bugs me that it's not centered but I wouldn't know how to fix it.

 

So i have been considering the 60D very highly. thoughts on it (not me getting it, just initial thoughts on the camera)?

 

hmmm that looks really interesting. I was thinking about soon to upgrade to a 7D body but now a 60D does HD recording as well. Kind of weird that Canon change out the memory storage from Compact Flash to SD

 

I know...good thing I have 6 CF cards of various sizes...

 

Its actually not weird at all. Im willing to bet all new cameras will be moving to the SD format.

 

 

I actually really like the 60d. But, I'm gonna stick it out with my 30d until I feel like I need/want to upgrade. Then, It will be to the 5d II, or whatever is the newest full frame at that time.

 

A 5d would also be one of my choices but I was looking at the 7d and that is what would be an affordable upgrade for me if I wanted to use the hd recording feature. Messed with my friend's 7d and I liked it a lot but at this time I rather just hold off and keep my 40d until I feel confident that I need to move up

I do in addition to having a cropped body. The D7000 has the features I wish my D90 had from the beginning. I don't want a FF camera as my sole body because of the size and lack of crop factor.

Here's some shots I took for a local youth football association. I've become their sort of unofficial photographer over the past couple seasons. The QB is my brother.







As with anything I post, feel free to critique me. I'd also appreciate it if someone could explain to me how I would apply White Balance in certain situations (in general, not just football). If you are a Canon owner, that's a plus.

what do you mean in certain situations? you would have to set a custom white balance at the scene

 

Light, dark, sunny, shady, under streetlights at night, etc. How to set it up, know I have it right, yada yada yada, lol.

 

i know some people carry around a white card to get correct wb

i always shoot raw so i change in pp

 

so i was bored today and decided to try to HDR my pug haha
i was amazed i was able to get her in the same position for 3 exposures
