Or, since I know you're retarded and probably don't have the manual, hold down Zoom and -, use +/- to scroll through the options and use the zoom button to turn on and off. Turn on the 2 shaped arrow thing, then turn on rL. Hold Zoom and - to back out. Set camera settings to commander mode and match the channel and group to the flash.

No, nevermind, you have a D40. D40 doesn't have a commander mode.
