Shot some animals myself yesterday. Being from KY gives easy access to lots and lots of horse. But I grew up in horse racing, and even though my family doesn't own anymore horses, I still am drawn to the track.

It doesn't make a difference as far as photo quality goes, but what camera straps are you guys rocking? I got sick of the D700's stock strap (it's a little thin and short for me and I wanted something without the Nikon label) and bought a new one just a little bit ago from DSPTCH. They seem to have some pretty quality stuff, so I decided to try one out.

 

I had a nice padded strap for a while, buy on hot days, it just made your neck sweat. The only feature I really liked about it was it had a quick release on both sides to easily remove it if you needed it. (like the child seat belt clips in shopping carts) But I've gone back to the standard issue Nikon strap.

was in washington too that was dope! ^___^ coming from TX i consider anything below 60 cold.....freezing since i got to memphis now im really cold in philly.

Over all, I've got to say, I am pretty impressed with the D3100. Sure, it's missing some nice features like dual adjusters for app/shut but man, it takes a good picture for an entry level camera.

 

that is a sick picture! a camera is a tool but u have to know how to use it to get good results. love the composition in the bottle shot ^___^

 

So I lied earlier. The 7D I ordered ended up getting sent back, I ordered a 5D II anyway.

Excited about spring. Everything (except moss) turns brown and gray here in the winter, so nothing is very photogenic.

I should have it mid-week, but probably won't be able to really give it use until next weekend. I'm excited to shoot a 50mm on full frame. I ordered the 40mm 2.8 pancake lens for the hell of it, too. I can't really afford any quality lenses now lol

 

Is it me, or is bokeh just.. creamier on a full frame body.

 

Id say its probably a difference in glass. I can't imagine that the camera sensor would influence bokeh quality. But I don't really know.

 

Subject-background separation is more apparent. Why that is I'm not sure, but I can tell when a photo was taken on a FF camera about 95% of the time.


Is anyone else not able to see photos lately? Im2cool's post is the only one I can see on this page.
