MAD X-MAS BOKEH CHALLENGE!!!!
CHALLENGE this month is to shoot as many pictures as u can with your lens "wide open" meaning the biggest aperture u have to create the most bokeh with christmas lights :D
*tips for our new photographers out there who dont own a prime lens. trick would be to zoom out as much as u can and get as close to the subject thus creating less depth of field and more bokeh in the back :D

I want to try this even though i dont know how to use my camera. I just bought a Canon 3Ti 2 days ago after wanting a good camera 3 yrs ago, but idk how to use it well. I hope i can take a decent picture
good to see some one else post something
Ethan tip for your next shot is to open up all the way. that 50mm lens u have opens to f1.8 u get more rounded circles instead of those polygon shapes. plus makes for easier picture taking in low light conditions. are u shooting full auto that the camera picked that f stop for u?

Sounds good, thanks!
Actually, I had full control over the f stop. It was my first time using the lens, so I was trying to get a feel for it. I was all over the place with the settings.

Thanks! i set the white balance to match my phone, reason why the christmas lights are waay yellow. I masked them out and fixed the exposures to get it right looking, took me 5 minutes lol
