Hey guys, my cousin just hand me down a canon 30d body. No lens just the body with all the accessories and goodies. I want to get my first lens but not sure which one to get. I'm thinking about the 55mm lens or the 18-55mm lens.

Do canon rebels XSI lens fit canon 30d body? I'm new to this dslr business. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Oh also I'm on a budget so no lens costing over 200 bucks

 

as far as i know all Canon lenses fit most if not all canon DSLRs.

I would recommend the 50mm f1.8 II
Great lens, under 100 dollars as well. I use it most of the time.

 

as far as the lens fitting goes, anything above the 20d supports ef-s mounts, so with the 30d, you have a variety of lenses to choose from

i would suggest an 18-55, great kit lens with a good focal length, only costs around $70-100 to boot
