Default A Point-&-Shoot with built in Projector

Not everyone is into carrying a DSLR, we all know this. Even DSLR guys aren't always into lugging it around, myself not included. So for the people that just want a P&S that takes nice pictures w/fun features, check out the new Nikon Coolpix S1000pj.

Obviously a projector is an unneeded trinket but still pretty cool none the less. Gather your friends/family around, turn off some lights and share your photos on the wall. Cool for when you're visiting somewhere during travel. Price is a little steep, but i know plenty of people willing to pay nearly the price for a DSLR for a good P&S.

What do you guys think? Will it be a hit, or a dud? Either way, it's still a cool idea. Wonder what they'll think of next...

seems like it would be easier to just make the screen fold out and flip like a camcorder??? alot cheaper than 2 whole screens.

that's an awesome feature, only problem might be finding a good white wall. the self portrait deal would be awesome too.

camera phones are the single worst invention to mankind. why? because they have taken over. people now seriously use them as their sole means of taking photographs. you will see an event or something going on where everyone wants a picture and what are the majority using... a camera phone. or go to the park with your kids and you will see parents taking all kinds of pictures of their kids with a camera phone. what horribly captured memories. i dont care if you can take it and email it instantly to grandma. cool now grandma has some crappy grainy picture to see of her grandkid. i also see alot of pictures on this site of people's cars taken with camera phones. hello! nobody wants to see those people. stop posting them. i can only imagine the photographic atrocities shining big and bright on a wall.

sorry i had to rant. i just hate what they've become that's all.

x2, i'm with camera phones for time sensitive stuff (i.e. bad a__ car, accident), but i hate seeing people post their camera phone pics on here like it's good work. and i definitely don't need a projector on my phone.
