Now that you have a photo section, folks, a quick question for you on the aotu-resize we've added to the site.
Right now it is set to allow 800 pixels in the largest dimension of the image, and if the image posted is larger, it backs it down to being 800 in the largest dimension with the option to click for full posted size.
This was something that I demanded we have (I'm tired of going to a thread and seeing just a tiny corner of a 4000 pixel wide image), but I just want to check with the folks here in the photo section on what you think about it.
I like it - what say you?
(Obligatory image...)
(Are we going to have a humorous image tread?)

the auto re-size is good. i too hate when huge photos are posted. sometimes large photos are better for detail but in that case a link should be posted instead of the image. the auto resize is even better because you can preview the image first.
but would rather it open the photo in a new browser tab then just making it full size on the page.

What do you others think?
Enlarge and reduce where it sits, or open a new page?

OK, here's the deal, then.
Most folks who are just "regular users" usually prefer opening and closing larger images right where they are instead of on a new page, so I'm going to keep it that way, but give everyone the option to change that FOR THEMSELVES in their User CP...
If you go to your User CP, find "Edit Options" in the left hand column, scroll down to "Thread Display Options," you will find a complete set of option for image resize.
You can set it to open in same window, in a new window, change the default size limits for yourself, or even turn it off.
(Or start here and just scroll down: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/pro...do=editoptions)
All yours! Enjoy!
