Hey there... so these work on tC's as well then? does that need to be stated in the order? or are the door ones all the same length regardless of model of Scion?

thanks!

yes they work with almost ANY car. they are all the same length. the rods will hold your door open at 16". almost every car/truck and SUV on the market has the same style latching system. but if you have custom doors I.E. lambos or suicide. I cannot guarantee they will work. I have been looking at different style retention rods for a while now and found that 16" is just the right length. and I had a chance to test them out at the Medford Cruise car show on Father's day. people had plenty of room to walk between the cars, and were still able to view the interior.

You may want to PM Tomas about being added to the "Traders" usergroup.

I pm'ed Tomas and it's gonna cost me $20 a month... I'm not making NOWHERE near that much from these door rods to be able to do that, so I don't know what's going to happen. I don't want to raise the price of the rods....

Well that's much better than the $200/mo + for regular sponsors. Though I think the "trader" initially started as being free... but subject to change at the whim of IB.... sadly.

^ true.. but I'm not making Barely anything on these. if anything at all. just charging for the cost of materials, shipping, and enough to off set the cost of gas for the running around. But, I understand the reasoning behind sponsoring. I am not in any way arguing with that.. I pm'ed Tomas again, I'm just waiting for a reply....

this is to benefit the SL community. like my first post said.. I have been looking for some door retention rods on line for a while and found that they are not cheap!! found a set of 2 for $40.. I want to help people in these tough times. I am also selling them on E-bay for a lot more. a set of 2 rods on the bay shipped costs the same as a set of 5 shipped would cost on SL. so I am not doing this on here to make money for myself.. PLUS, did you see the post about donating to Kanchi's charity for the show he is putting on??

I have nothing to do with you selling or not... this is up to Tomas. I actually didn't know it changed to $20.

Well it is definitely frustrating... for us too. We've run into tons of sales like this where people are just trying to help the community but couldn't be sponsors. That's really how the Trader group was created (and like I mentioned, used to be free). That took AGES to get approved, if I recall.

well it's a good idea. and if I ever get this going like I want to maybe have other designs... then I would have no problem becoming a sponsor. gotta pay the bills somehow. right?
anyways. I guess Tomas just added me to the traders group now so no worries.. for now...

Allen- maybe you would like a set of rods for your tC??

I did actually consider a set and the price is good. I just don't think I'd use them. I do hit up a few shows now and then but typically just put my windows down and that works just fine.
