Default Help Hayseed Afford A New Car Partout

So, it's looking like my car is a goner, it seems to have a massive case of rod knock and/or piston slap. I do not really want to put any more money into, so time to move on.

SALE IS ON!

Text me at (505)-414-7447
I digress.

1. Custom Turbo Kit, $2000 plus shipping/paypal fees
Info here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=208580
I WILL(now) PART OUT

2. BC BR type Coilovers with Extreme Low Kit, SOLD

3. Agency Power Catback exhaust, $400 plus shipping/paypal fees
This is the best sounding exhaust for the tC period. I only ever used the axleback portion, it includes all the rest of the piping. No dings, great condition.

4. Injen Cold Air Intake/Short Ram Intake, $150 plus shipping/paypal
Glossy black finish, for 07+ but you can always use a maf adapter
(I'll try to get pictures up tomorrow)

5. Mercedes (Ronal) Alphards, full chrome, 18x8.5/9.5 w/215/35/18's, SOLD

6. RS1 Front Lip, $50 shipped/paypal
This isn't in the greatest shape, its held on by zipties and has scrapes on the passenger side, hence the low price

7. (2x) 17mm Bolt On Spacers, $50 plus shipping/paypal
These are unused by me, they're hubcentric to the tC

Buy my stuff so I can get a new car... please

Thanks man. I've never modified my engine beyond intake and exhaust, kept up with the maintenance, and now I'm pretty sure its a spun rod bearing or something.

Buy my stuff folks!

Took it into toyota. They're surprised I haven't thrown a rod through my oil pan yet.

I want to know what the shop says and cause because 2AZ's arent known to spin a bearing or throw a rod at random without boost, its RARE.

Well mine did. I took car of the engine, babied it, never really "raced" it, etc. driving home from the movies the other night the knocking started and got considerably louder. Toyota never opened it up per say but their initial diagnosis is that I did indeed spin a bearing and will throw a rod really soon. The car has a complete loss of power and won't idle correctly anymore. The knock is ridiculously loud at this point. AFAIK the car was never boosted, dealer said an older guy sold them the car. So I'm going to part out the car and then see what I can get for it. I'm ____ed but I am looking forward for the opportunity to move forward with another platform

You should put a sound clip up...but damn that sucks, IMO you should buy a junkyard motor swap it out, have that motor honed, sell it for parts/part it out and u can make a good part of your money back. Is it your daily?
If its not i would just leave it in my driveway and swap the engine out.

Do the coils go lower than bg rs2's? and whats the spring rate? Im currently on F&F Type 2's but wouldnt mind a better spring rate and MOAAR Low

Its my daily. I'm honestly just kinda tired of it. Time for a 350z or an sti... The coils are preeeetty much take by a guy in line ahead of you, but if it falls through I'll let you know. They do indeed go lower than the B&G's and i think its a 10k spring rate?

Also folks, just an alert, before I sold these wheels I had some random guy text me from one of those iPhone texting apps about these wheels. Said he wanted to trade some works and sent me pictures. He never told me which forum he was on or anything (I have these posted on a lot f sites) but he seemed super sketchy and the pictures he sent me were of some works I had seen sell on another forum way back when. So keep on the lookout.
