tC: [SOLD] FS: GEN1 TC TRD Big Brake Kit
For sale, My TRD BBK (car has been sold almost a year ago) and these have been sitting in my garage. Last time I had a bunch of tire kickers on these, and just pulled them off the classifieds.
Shipping will run around $75 due to weight, these are VERY hefty. Brakes have less than 5,000 miles on them, my car when sold only had 26,000 miles.
If someone wants them held, you need to put a deposit down. Until then, they are open for sale to EVERYBODY. last time I had people say I want them, I get paid in 2 weeks ect ect, and then they would just back out or never PM me back.
TRD sparks was selling these for a little over $1100 shipped last time I checked.
I will add pics later by this weekend. They look good overal, just normal wear from being on a car that was driven for a few thousand miles.

Told myself I was going to stop spending money on the Scion, but I might not be able to help myself. I know I'm going to want to upgrade something once it warms up. Let me know once you get those pictures up.

I understand people want a deal - but you know me... Ive been in this scion game for 7 years before I got rid of my sc'd tC. We (you and I) have done plenty of transactions cisco!
I pulled it off the classifieds last year because I was tired of people trying to jip me down so far. That, or they would say "I want them, hold them for me" then they ghosted on me completely.
I always price my parts accordingly. If you want your parts off a 100,000k beat up scion, then go ahead. ANYONE that knew me, or my heavily modded tC knew that my car got driven ONCE a week maybe. And I have a fleet of vehicles, consisting of multiple cars, and multiple bikes. My tC had less than 25k miles in 7 years of ownership - I dont need to sell these quick, I am not trying to do a crackhead sale. Put it to ya this way, I have about $4k worth of my civic SI (ep3) parts sitting in my basement to sell.. (I got hit by a drunk driver) so, what did I buy? A 8th gen civic SI. Its beast.. for sure, already have a TON of mods in it (it was fully stock when bought). But I have a stage2 comptech S/C for it, and tons of other things.
Stock motor on my SI redlines at 9200 after adding flashpro, and lowering vtec engagement point to 4400rpms. Its freaking awesome. I love high rev honda motors.
Anyway, like I said Ill be adding pics this weekend. Comes with all hardware you need - ready to mount up.
AND before I get any more questions on "will it fit"
a) It will NOT fit stock 17's
b) I ran the kit on TRD 18" rims. Its up to you to find out what else fits, as I am no wheel expert. But tons of people with 18's are running BBK's on this site. 17's - I am not certain about.
Yes, but its not the "exact, OG" stoptech kit... I have to explain this, because I have owned BOTH.
Stoptech's where on my car, and one of the first prototypes (which I think they just copied the celica BBK over). I got them before TRD put out a BBK.
After trying to change the pads on the stoptech kit with TRD pads, *because I thought they would be the same, due to much rumors and chit chat on here* they are NOT the same as the original stoptechs, where if you do a search for my car, you would see I had the red stoptech BBK for around 5 years.
The reason I ended up with these, which are almost brand new - is my best friend wanted to change his kit with mine, since I sued toyota and won, and was giving my car back (f'ing superchargers...lol)
Anyways, this is the SAME exact kit you would buy at the dealer, or from TRDSPARKS. There were VERY few of the ORIGINAL stoptech kits, and I was rocking one of them. After TRD partnered up with stoptech to rebrand the stoptech over to TRD, the pads are a hair smaller. So with this kit, you can just go to the dealer (toyota) and order ANY piece or part of it you would ever need to replace down the road. Like pads, rotors.. anything.
So that is the long explination, the short explination is YES it is still a stoptech kit, rebranded TRD. The "original" stoptech kits are not fur purchase anymore, and are pretty rare. However, if you wanted to make a HIGH dollar offer, my friend would switch his with these again, but were talking more than they are likely worth. I traded him because he did ALL the work on my car, and we traded brakes straight up.

My whip with the stoptechs I used to have: (I dont think I have any of my car with the TRD kit because I had them so recent before I sued toyota, they were on my car for less than 3 months.

$50 dollars off this week.....
No interest? Everyone pm'ing me for pics, then... nothing?
If they do not sell before 4/20/13 - they are going up on ebay, and WILL not ever make an appearance on ScionLife again. This is my second go-around trying to sell these. EVERY kit on ebay for TRD big brake kits that are new, are going for 1200-1300 all day. Wouldnt you rather save $500? These rotors are almost BRAND new with less than 500 miles on them total. This is the exact same kit you would get from trdsparks, or anywhere else. Why pay retail?

How can brakes, installed on a car for less than 5,000 miles be in rough shape? They are in pretty damn good condition, aside from the TRD logo has a SMALL hairline scratch on it that my camera wont pick up, and that from from storage.
You did read in my description where I said these have less than 5,000 miles right? And to be honest, its more like 2,000 miles. My car got these brakes less than a year ago, because my friend bought them direct from TRDsparks.
I told him I was suing toyota, and he begged me to trade him my USED stoptechs for his brand new TRD ones. I said yes, and then within 3 months, pulled them off and replaced stock ones for them so I could return the car in "stock" condition. So these brakes were on my 4th vehicle, in the summer, when I was mainly riding one of my streetbikes... I then put these away in my garage, since brakes are kind of dirty, and thats where I took the pictures.
I will most likely then pull them off SL, as it is such a chore to try and sell stuff on here. If people want to pay an extra $500 or more for brakes that are brand new, thats on them. I have a higher iTrader rating than 95% of the people here, and have a full feedback thread here : https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...light=feedback
That should help sway anyone who thinks these near new brakes are "rusty" lol.
