Default June 604 - fender rolling party !!

C'mon guys, let's roll them suckers.

Who's in?

If we can get half a dozen people to chip in I will buy it and you guys can rent it for mega cheap. (local shop wanted to charge me $75 per wheel!!)

OR, if you know anyone that has one of these roller already, let me know...

Try the guys out at KX Wheels in Surrey. I didn't ask them about pricing, but I know they have one hanging on the wall.
What do you have planned that you need to roll your fenders???

XXR 501 15x8 et15, with 195/50R15 rubber. You know, the standard.

The rear tire sidewalls are rubbing against the fender when I have passenger in the back and there are bits and pieces of the tire sidewall peeled out.

Looks horrible, in a your-tire-could-explode-any-minute way.

Must get it rolled.

Thanks for the tip CanB.

So wait, rolling fenders, does it pull the actual fender out slightly but not as much as fender flares or does it just push the fender liner in? I'd be down to pull my fenders out a bit, my 18's are rubbing on S-Techs

Just crimping the edge in so get more room for the tires.

Pulling fender is a separate matter, but it will give you more room to push the whole wheel out.

Mati32 is correct!! rolling the fender will deal with the metal lip on the inside of the fender and "roll" it closer to the panel creating more room for the tire. Pulling the fender is moving the whole panel farther away to create more room, if not done correctly large creases can be formed when pulling the panel out.

You are rubbing on S-techs? What offset are your wheels and what tires are you running?
I am running 18"s on DF210's with no rubbing issues. My wheels have a high offset, around 38-40 and I am running a 35 series tire, with no rubbing at all.

I'm running 225/40/18 Fuzion ZRi's on my car, all around. It sits 100% with the top of the fenders (not flush as is how far its pushed out but how low it is).

I rub on basically anything if I go past 20mph on it. Most speedbumps, if I go over 15km, I rub. most potholes that I don't notice I rub because well, I don't notice them and go faster than I should over them.

It could also be because I drive a tC and not an xB.

hmm i might be down, as soon as i sell my 19" axis wheels and get me some xxr 513s! apparently the 15x8 0 offset wont have rubbing issues with the df210s i got, but i'll have to see for myself. isn't there a site u can rent from where they ship one out to u, and u ship it back when finished? i think that might be a more viable option if we can have a timeframe that works for enough people.
