Default might need some local help...

Well, I finally got my cf hood and hatch. I put the hood on, and can not get the &^#%!*%$ thing to line up right. No matter which way I adjusted the bolts, it doesn't want to align. If I'm having this much difficulties with the hood, I'm definitely not looking forward to the hatch installation... So, if anyone is around Baton Rouge this weekend and wants to make fun of me, usually superfreestyle does it, but he has helped me so much already and lives in another state, I figure have someone else to have the chance to make fun of me... I live down the street from the allStar Toyota dealership...

Default cf hood grief

Sorry to here about the grief. A friend of mine in Chicago just put one on his box.
I can pm you his contact info, or if you want to send me yours I can pass it along.

He may be able to give you some tips anyway.

He told me how much fun (sarcasm) he had getting it to fit right.

lol, yeah, its a real blast. I still need to get the right bolts so I can position it correctly. Right now, I'm just using some washers. I tried a bunch of different combinations to get it align. I just don't get why it is so hard for me, maybe auto body work is not me. Good thing I didn't get a body kit and try to install it

For as the hatch goes, it might have to wait. I need to paint the interior of it first. I'm not so sure of the craftsmanship on the hood or hatch. I'll have to find my digital camera and take some pics. Maybe I'm too much of a perfectionist, but I see too many flaws. I guess if I wanted it done perfect, I would have to spend thousands of dollars instead of hundreds...

Did your friend put in on by himself or did he have help?

cool... well, i got the hood on pretty straight... the fabrication of it is off a little bit towards the corner near the windshield, so that was throwing me off, but other than that i'm satisfied somewhat...

i will need help with the hatch, so after i get it ready, i'll hit you up...

thanks...

now i can start on my other little projects with it
