Default SC technician

I’m having problems with my SC. I don’t really feel comfortable with the dealer who installed it. Does anyone know of a dealer in the Baton Rouge, La. area with a technician that has credibility with SC installs and trouble shooting? Thanks for any help.

OK let’s try something else, does anybody know if Team Toyota in Baton Rouge has a competent service department?

There is a loud squealing noise at around 4,000 rpm but only when it is under boost. It sounds like it is coming from the around the pulley.

No that hasn’t been done but it doesn’t really sound like the belt squealing more like when a bearing is going out. I'll check the belt this weekend.

Its in thier shop now so I hope they are ok. They are in the process of changing the SC. Hopefully TRD has the problems fixed.

FYI...the flash for it cost $400, and its like a disposeable camera, one time use...not that you will need it...just saying.

I talked to the tech today; he said the new SC is installed. TRD had them change the 1st cat and the air/fuel sensor. TRD also wants him to run a couple more test on it tomorrow. Hopefully it will be ready tomorrow evening. I asked him if TRD thought they had the problems fixed, he said they asked them to do a lot of things they had never done so they must have some idea of the problem. I sure hope so!

I was able to watch one of my techs do a SC install yesterday and on the new 08 I did notice some squeals but only at low rpm about idle speed. when we drove it you did hear some noice at the higher rpm range but it was more of the SC at work. So as for what I've seen and heard it will make alittle noice more than stock. I do hope that they can solve your noise issue. good luck!

The new SC is in. It sounds and runs great. The techs at Team were very very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone needing service. I just hope this SC will last for a while!
