Mark- that is definately something we needed, and of course it came from one of the important ones who has got this scion community going now and in the past, which of whom you didnt mention on your imprtant people list-YOU.


I as you all know love my car, love the meets-any kind, and have ideas which i love to talk about. I am glad we all have so many different opinions, people skills, and lots of cultures involved. We all together complete each other, with our skills, talents, ideas, support people.

I also think we should have either name tags, or maybe everyone could make our own shirts(heat transfers) with our name on it somewhere so when we go to a big meet we can learn more names, extend our networks, etc.
or maybe design a scion logo shirt and do a group buy.. but anything so we can put our names and faces together.

I know i will post and try to make my ideas happen since you have let me know heck i can ..

Thanks Mark- you are definately one of the important ones in this group- i have seen you work hard on keeping the whole thing going, and together, plus your baby scionetics-and many hours on your own time with this, don't forget to mention you next time-k.

Should be a good meet. Looking forward to seeing a crowd somewhere new. Might even be enough to get Right rolling. Who knows?

 

I'll have an announcement posted pretty soon about the Scion Invasion and the plans for this year's show. Expecting big things.

Also, about that cruise you were mentioning...Let me know if you all are wanting to venture this way at all. Silver City was a pretty good time and I think we can do some big things this year between AZ, NM and whoever else we can get involved.

Here is a crazy idea. How about we vote/choose a regional person to organize meets and invents. Like someone for the east valley, like Scott, Nick, or myself. and some for the west valley in PHX, which Mark could do, looks like Chris has Avondale locked down. Maybe Randy could do suprise. We could have someone a precision scion or someone in tucson to handle it down ther. we could have little meetings and see what we could do. I dont know. just trying to help.

 

There are a few people out there with access to the calendar but no one on the east side.

 

Maybe you could appoint someone. I am trying to think who here in the east side post and knows whats going on. All I know is Nick, Scotty J, BJ, Myself. But its up to yall, I am just throwing out imput. Dont mind me.

 

Anyone wanting to step forward just PM me. I trust all the people you named.

I'm all over the place. I live in Tempe, parents live in Avondale and I work in north Phoenix. So I'm pretty much everywhere anyway.

I have no problem stepping up and thinking of ideas for meets. Only problem I can think of with me being in charge of it is when im gone for three months in Asia middle of the year.

I really do think we need to organize a group photo though for our region. Somewhere with a nice big parking lot and a professional photographer that can take an ariel shot like from one of those crane boxes or something they use to work on telephone poles that you can rent. Is there room in the Scionetics budget for something like this Mark?

I figure it would be good PR as well since it can be something that can be printed out nice and big and hung up at the dealership so people see that they're not just buying a car, they're buying into a community.....as Verizon puts it....."It's the network!"

 

now that I think about it I don't believe that the eastside dealers are involved enough with us such as Big Two or Superstition springs Scion. I know Superstition was just building a whole new parking garage with a new Scion building so they should be setting something up with us yet nothing is going on.

I approached them once with an idea for a meet but the guy "in charge" was kind of rude at the time and acted like I was an inconvenience to meet with to discuss it. I say we do a "drive by" of the dealership and shake things up. Get at least 20 peoople to all drive through the dealership together and either park and talk OR just keep on goin and later on call and let them know who we were and offer another chance to hold a meet for us. Big Two I know is pretty cramped at it's location so I'm not sure if they would be able to accomodate us and they don't have a seperate Scion building last I was there.
