I realize that there are already many stickies in our region but what would people think of one more?

I am considering making another sticky sorta like the one I created for the local classifeds thread which links people to a thread that someone posted in the classifieds section of SL but still allows them to advirtise locally.

There have been more and more group buys being offered which are awesome for our region but it walks the fine line of selling outside designated areas which is against the rules. I would like to have a sticky where a group buy can be linked to so that we can still obtain the benefits but it remains fair for all site sponsors that follow the rules.

D&S members feeback on this is being strongly asked for so I can have your opinions and opinions on if you think this is something we need or should have. So far I think the Classifieds link thread for our region has been doing well and had benefited many people sell their items so I think this could be as effective.

 

Just remember that all group buys, even just for folks in the D&S area, MUST be in the Sponsored Sales forum.

There's no problem with discussing an ongoing sale in your regional forum, but the sales themselves have to be either in Sponsored Sales or Private Party Classifieds.

Actual sales found in any other fora will be either moved to a proper forum or removed from ScionLife. (And the topic starter subject to warning...)

It's fine to say something like "I'm trying to sell my ______, see my topic in PPC titled ___________" but NOT OK to say "I'm trying to sell my ______, make an offer" in this forum.

I think a D&S group buy link may work out pretty good like the d&s classifieds link sticky. We just need to remember to keep cleaning it up after the group buy so it doesnt goto like 2-3 pages of crap.

Just my opinion, I know how many people dont like the stickys but this makes sense.

 

If the thread is created i'll make sure that once a group buy is completed to clean it up and remove the old information on expired group buys. I'll make a decision on creating the thread by Monday after talking to some people in person at the show this weekend and giving a chance for more people to still leave feedback on this thread.

Judging from how the poll is going so far and the comment from Chris i am leaning towards creating the thread unless someone has a good reason not to.
