Okay, so I spoke with Gabrielle and Mike this weekend at SpringQUAKE about a possible road trip to Denver for May/June. Originally it just started out as a couple of us talking about what we had already discussed regarding heading up there and showing the CO crew some love and my recent trip there. Well in typical SCION fasion, they told me to get some thoughts and ideas together on what we would like to do while we were up there. Of course I asked what they were talking about???

They want to through us a party/show/meet when we road trip up there and would like to know what we want!!! How cool is that??? So, here is a link to a thread I started in the Rockies region regarding this.
DENVER TRIP
If you guys can answer the poll here and just let me know who would want to go.

The trip is great! Roads are in great shape(just did the drive the weekend before last) and takes about 10 1/2 hours. If we have a big caravan, maybe as long as 11 with stops(Approx. 775 miles Phx-Dnv). Drive is up through Flagstaff and then up into Utah through Moab over I-70 through Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs and down from the Rockies into Denver!!!

Let me know what you guys are thinking. If you have ideas for the meet, put them on the other thread please. Thanks!!!

 

I would be down. I don't care what we do either. I think it would be awesome just to drive there with some peeps and stop in and say hi to my dad who lives in Springs.

From the sound of things, the Denver guys are thinking of June 16th. Does that work for us?

 

June works for me.... can't wait for another road trip!!

 

Way too far ahead for me to plan, but sounds good.

 

I'm in! Never been to Denver. Would love to get out of the heat in June.

Count us in I'm from Colo. origanilly and the drive through Moab and to I 70 up to denver is beautiful it's what you call a rocky mountain high cool

 

Couldn't have said it better myself oldskool!!!! That drive is epic and super easy to make also. Especially through Moab and then when you get to I-70 and cross back and forth over the Colorado river...what a drive!

I think June would be best for everyone around here, at least that would give enough time for everyone to plan for the trip. That would also give us enought to coordinate a group discount at a hotel or something like that, just like we had at the Hampton Inn in Roswell. They really took care of us, blocked off parking spaces right in front of the hotel for us, couldn't have been any better!!! Now, we need to figure out what we want to do.

What did everyone think about the spring training game? I am sure we could get tickets to the Rockies or something like that. There is always Coors Brewery in Golden. (Obviously if this is an adult trip!) We could even do some White-Water Rafting, if the snowpack lasts that long into the summer. The possibilities are endless guys and gals, so let's get those brains going and shoot me some PM's with ideas. That way I can get a list going.

I'm up for the drive. Gonna have to coordinate this with my other events and activities. This could be a fun one. I'm gonna have to space out all the time for this trip, Exprescion, and Rocky Point this summer... I think I can.

 

fyi, AUG 11 scinergyCO is hosting a huge show. I know that they may/june date passed with little said, but any of you that would be able to come up from AZ would be very welcome. I know that there was some talk of a canyon run, and that's totally doable as well.
