I once attended a party where everyone who attended brought a gift, gag or otherwise... Then someone would read Twas the night before X-mas... Everytime Santa was mentioned you would pass your gift to the person on your left... It was fun!

Secret Santa drawings are fun, too!!

It's all you Janice... so I'm sure it will be a blast. I'm in!

That sounds fun! My grandparents put on a White Elephant gift exchange AKA Chinese gift exchange every year. It is where every person brings 1 gift like you mentioned and we sit in a big circle. One person goes up to the gift table and chooses a gift and opens it in front of everyone. Going around the circle the next person can go up to the table and choose a gift or "steal" another gift that is already opened and it continues around the circle. If you "steal" the same gift 3 times it is yours to keep and no one else can take it. After everyone in the circle has had a turn you get to keep whatever is in your hands. It is pretty fun!

I've done the trade one. It's a lot of fun. I remember I got a car duster once but kept trying to get someone ot steal it. I wish I had it now (then I had an 85 toyota 4x4, hardly got washed, didn't need a duster).

Side note: I am selling the Toyota if anybody is interested PM me.

We're in. Has anyone thought of a place yet? Do you want to make this an adult thing or a family outing?

Just some thought,

Cindy

Great idea Malina!!!

I'm in and want to ECHO Joey's concern about the date. We might want to consider an off-night event for this. Say... a Thursday?

Malina, if you want help with a location I'm happy to help. Just let me know how I can!!!

I'd like it to be a family thing if it was up to me. We get a Christmas party for the adults where I work.

It would appear that this is a good idea and should move to the next stage. Malina, a day of the week + anytime poll may be a good idea so we can see what will fit the majority of the attendees. Any suggestions to a location yet?

Let's see who we have to attend and plan from there? I'd rather not do this outdoors. If we do end up having this on a week-night we canprobably find a restaurant to host it pretty easily. There's a Denny's near the dealership with an extra room they open up for large parties, I'm sure there are plenty more places like that.
