I wanted to show everyone the first mock-up. We can change anything about the design that we don't like if we want to.

I have my own opinions but I want everyone else's as well as this is a community project. What does everyone think?

Looks great! The only change I would make would be the spelling of "Honor"

There's no "U" in the "american" spelling

 

For people that can't open PDF's for some reason or would just like to see it on the thread I made it so they could be in the thread.

I you like you can use the sources for the images and move them into your first thread so people don't have to scroll down for the pics and then I will remove mine.

i liked the hood and the front fenders with the flag but i'm not sure if I like how the flag wraps around the front bumper

Excellent first draft.

Sides, top, rear, and hood look really nice, but I agree the 200 star flag effect wrapping around the front is a little odd.

Lets face it, though, if that's all that bothers me it's probably OK.

(The stripes along the side are a bit too long for the vertical size of the blue field and stars, but that's much easier to take than too many stars.)

I'll be curious to see other comments.

Looks good. I was reading before that you'd gotten sponsors, and their logos would be on there somewhere. Any idea where? I just think other people's logos may take away from it.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I just got home from a 36+ hour shift so I'm going to get some sleep and respond to your questions later this evening.

 

Ok, here are my opinions (and some of yours)...

#1 Honor is spelled wrong on the hood.

#2 If we are going to have the 2 fields of the flag line up together on the front of the car I'd rather have the tops of them a little above the headlights because the current design looks like a face in the front. Maybe seperate the backs of the flags a little bit so they are not touching?

#3 No part of the flag should be sat on or stepped on so the stripes need to be above the running boards.

#4 The flag is way too long. It should only reach to just before the beginning of the rear wheel-well.

#5 Make the flag wave more.

#6 The "Fallen Heroes" text need more depth, I don't care for the black in the letters. Maybe use the same pattern for (inside) the letters that is used for the hood. Give it a more "tuff or strong" feel to the letters.

Those are the changes I'm going to give to Mike on Wednesday. Anything else?

 

I agree that sponsor logos on the car would take away from it as well. I changed the sponsor setup about a week ago. The sponsors will be listed on our website and also on banners that we will be hanging at the car shows. They will not be on the car.
