Lookin for someone with experience drilling thru carbon fiber to install hood pins on my hood. The latch system was "relocated" during my accident and its gonna cost a fortune to replace the entire system so i went to the alternative. PM me if you can/how much/when or if you know a shop that can do it.

yea i can imagine theyd be hard to do...kinda why iwanna look for someone who can do it professionally. It can wait if someone isnt avail right now but im gonna need it soon... Dont wanna take the tc on the highway with a hood that doesnt latch

dont drill it. grind the holes with a dremel. The drill will tear up the CF real good.

 

I used a step drill and had no problems at all. the Dremel kinda scared me cutting through the under hood though, was worried I would bump the underside of the CF.

 

Just remember your gonna have a ring on top to cover up so take ur time do some markings and step drill... small bit first to make sure you have a close hole
